Keeping it Open and Dynamic

Keeping the focus on "being" instead of "doing".

I feel that open innovation has empowered and encouraged me to interact with others. Where once I tried to get a sense of satisfaction from my work place, I now can turn to open innovation challenges to do something passionate and important to me which can have significant positive impact for others. I like that the focus is a on actually being dynamic in our processes, not on "doing" a particular process.

Thanks for sharing the reflection Gabriel! Great to hear how open innovation has activated you to seek out purposeful projects outside your workplace. If there are stories of specific projects you've participated in - we'd love to hear about it:T

Sure. Specifically https://challenges.openideo.com/challenge/healthy-lives/ideas/garden-kitchens-from-soil-to-plate - I grew up on a farm and growing vegetables and I love running a successful garden. Working on the above challenge has allowed me to bring my love of the country and gardening into the workplace and share not only ideas but food with my co-workers. That sharing has led to my wife and I raising our own chickens and having eggs etc. It is good to get back to a small family farm mentality and I look forward to spreading the good a garden can bring to my neighbors and friends.
