How do we mine for innovative ideas from a community of introverts?

How do we mine ideas from introverts in a society that values extroversion? We may be missing the voices of those whose primary default switch is introspection. How can we benefit from their insights?

A forum that welcomes listening as the primary goal, one in which all ideas are considered grist for thought, might be a good start. An absence of expectation by all participants can beget a nurturing environment of a kinder, gentler sort.

Being in the moment and simply listening - how do we establish these as norms in a group dynamic? An overarching theme of resolving issues or finding solutions may be contradictory to engendering the creative process. Less adamancy and more generosity can result in a vibrant pastiche of ideas.

Welcome disparate voices with equanimity and compassion, and let thoughts and emotions beget a sense of mystery. This can apply equally to introverts and extroverts.

Breathe and be playful.

Let go of judgment, for we have nothing to defend.

Perhaps for a fleeting moment or more, we may gain an inkling of real insight.
