Creating videos or taped meditations

Have Videos and meditations tapes available that guide people in a religious and non-religious way. These could be related to making peace with the mistakes in your life, confessions and other themes. Some could be interactive, where other patients, personnel or family members take part. This is so people can die in a more peaceful manner and let go of guilt or other issues before they go. These meditations should be full of compassion and peace themed messages. Meditations of people relating near death experiences may also be helpful if geared toward the person listening. Meditations of gratitude for what a person contributed to this life may also be helpful .

I really think that many people would like to let go of secrets and other information and it would be great if they had someone to tell and possibly either help them to have the courage to "make amends" or even just a place to leave information in case someone comes looking for it, for instance a child who was put up for adoption.

Ceremonies can be created also and volunteers or family members or friends may participate to help the dying person let go of old fears, unresolved issues or whatever. This may bring more peace not only to the dying but others who witness it.

Meditation is a very powerful tool to learn how to live in the present moment, and it can, therefore, be very useful in understand how to die being fully conscious of the experience by erasing fears. Meditation is all about erasing this feeling of fear out of our mind, and humans know how death is fearful.
More than using mindfulness meditation as a tool for peaceful death, it would be great to offer people a complete experience of peaceful mindfulness death. A place where they could be in total harmony with nature, accompanied by their siblings and with a guide to help them experience the meditation practice and its benefits.

Well said!  Meditative interventions need a more central place in our approach to death and coping with loss.  The power of the mind to calm, focus, and understand is amazing but must be harnessed with practice to be effective in times of great stress and anxiety.  Engaging mindfulness is a critical skill and can aid in end of life decision making.
