I'd like to share this GeriPal posting on the top 25 studies in hospice and palliative care. The advanced care planning section has some particularly relevant studies.
What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?
A study that I have not seen or at least am not aware of is gauging the feelings and thoughts of individuals who are in the dying process, as well as the feelings and thoughts of their family and/or companions, throughout the different stages of the dying process. Such a study could aim to measure perceived quality of life of the individual and their readiness(and families) for the death event.
