Creating a life can be as quick as ending one's life

How quick and destructive postpartum depression can be.

My wife was the spark in my life and exuded limitless passion for living and learning. Yet, this was all taken away as postpartum depression set in not even one year after our daughter was born. This illness devastated my life and those closest to her. While she found help and tried as best as she could to help herself, a dark cloud took over. I was shocked by the intensity of the illness and couldn't do much but watch as she was taken away by it. I wished I had more time with her to talk about her wishes and desires for our life as a family.

What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?

Death is natural as life. Yet we plan so much around creating life and sustaining it that we miss the opportunities to talk about death and the wishes around it. This could be creating a will, having a serious conversation about "what if...", and support those who will live on to accept a new reality following a death.
