A patient of the human condition

To provide palliative care methodologies to our lives now, instead of after being terminally diagnosed.

We are all dying.  Every minute, every breath.

I want to bring the wonderful qualities of Palliative care that are currently being used by some end of life caregivers and bring it more into the "now" and applicable to realizing happiness and contentment NOW instead of waiting for that realization that we are dying.

Palliative care is essential to the living of life today and should move more into the forefront.

What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?

Go through the experience of your death. Find a quiet place and think and FEEL it all through. Cry. Think of all you wanted to do but hadn't, What you should have said but didn't. What you want to say again. Use that as the "guidepost" for how to prioritize what's important to you.

Tell us about your work experience:

I'm a fortune 500 Senior IT manager who is giving up his career to pursue making the world a better place by helping others. Probably still in hospice or other charity/non-for profit IT shops.

Hi Ron, Thank you for the great post. I didn't read it prior to posting mine about life/loss/end of life intertwined but we are aligned, nonetheless. End of life is not a destination. It's a process. Starting now. Ending of life and living then are connected and can be in a happy, meaningful way when you focus on what's right in front of you and do that thing now. Whatever that thing is. I don't mean being a complete hedonist, but the people, the relationships, the opportunities. Today. Thank you for sharing. -Christine Cress

I'm 100% behind you Christine.  I don't care your idea, my idea, someone elses idea...  It's important that I do whatever I can to keep moving forward on making the world a better place by encompassing this in my life and being an example of the change I want to see.
