Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine the end-of-life experience?

This app would be designed for anyone who is in an expected near-death situation, so that they could record their life artistically. This app could also connect to a younger age group, for music and images may be easier to interpret. It is proven that sounds and images can evoke past memories and feelings that writing cannot. This app would artistically collect someone into as many songs, sounds, poems, and images as they would like, and be able to be condensed into a file.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

I would find someone who is battling a life-threatening illness, and talk to them about their favorite music and things. Then, I would compile a detailed portfolio off of this, and present it to them to see if they liked it. If so, I would ask for permission to show this to the family or friends of the people. This would be a way for them to remember the passing person positively.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Hi Lily,

I really love this. It is a romantic and artistic way for people pass their spirit on the next generations. This remind me of those family portraits in old castle. They would definitly be the most valuable property for a family.

Hi Lily,

I really love your idea and its great for people who love music it also - give a kind off smoothness - also life events picture can be added an create a video will a good concept - for a person to see a flash back of life- I would probably also think of a good time to play the video to the family - like a birthday of the grandparent or family occasion like 50th or 40th anniversary of a couple...

This would also encourage the grandchildren and children to get involve and help make it for old people

Hello Lily!
I find this a great idea, which also connects to mine. If you wanna check it out: Online platform to connect people who are dying to the living for the passing down of experiences .  Thanks for your contribution!

Hi Chiara! I love your idea, I totally think it relates. You were thinking of using an online platform, while I was thinking of an app. I think they're both great ideas. I think we should pick the one that the most accessible to people.

Hi, Lily.
This is an interesting idea. Memory is very important for the family to remember dying people's existence. I believe those people who are lying in the bed want to leave the best impressions and appearances. Death is sentimental for each person whether dying or accompanying  with dying people's bed. Recording the last time with them by music, images could evoke previous memories.

Hey Lily and Jane,

Very interesting spin on the traditional memoir! Yes, Music and the Arts are a great way to record and tell the story of a person and a great way to personalize one's last moments. These recordings could mean the world to the loved ones of those passing away.

These memoirs will be a great part of this challenge. You should check out Tell you story and have it heard  and see his spin on the traditional memoir - you might find a way to grow both your
