Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine the end-of-life experience?

This app would be designed for anyone who is in an expected near-death situation, so that they could record their life artistically. This app could also connect to a younger age group, for music and images may be easier to interpret. It is proven that sounds and images can evoke past memories and feelings that writing cannot. This app would artistically collect someone into as many songs, sounds, poems, and images as they would like, and be able to be condensed into a file.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

I would find someone who is battling a life-threatening illness, and talk to them about their favorite music and things. Then, I would compile a detailed portfolio off of this, and present it to them to see if they liked it. If so, I would ask for permission to show this to the family or friends of the people. This would be a way for them to remember the passing person positively.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

-App Programers
-Music experts/Sound experts
-People with insight into preserving memories of loved ones

Hi Lily,

I really love this. It is a romantic and artistic way for people pass their spirit on the next generations. This remind me of those family portraits in old castle. They would definitly be the most valuable property for a family.
