Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine the end-of-life experience?

My idea is for both those who passing away and those who stay, but mostly is for those who stays back.

My idea is for both, those who passing away and those who stay, but mostly is for those who stay back. I am thinking about  an online platform  where someone can built a visual diary with  images and videos of their best moments with his/her family or his/her best friends. Some of his/her favorites will have access to this online platform in order read his/her thoughts and "live" again and again the best moments with the person that passed away.

This diary could also work fine for the same (him/her) because he/she could read and "live" through this visual diary again and again the best moments of his/her life.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Hi Thanos,
A visual diary is a great idea. Check out Hongbo Guo 's idea, The Pensieve: a database that collect and display memories . How do you think you can expand and refine each others' ideas?  Including events? What kind of videos? Looking forward to seeing how your idea develops!

Thank you for your comment Aaron...

Hi Aaron and Thanos,
Thank you so much for your engagement. I think that is a great idea. Due to my very limited expertise in the field of technology, I would probably need to reach out talking to some technologists and figuring out what might be feasible. My idea is based on what and how others record the person's memorable moments but I realize that there might be certain ethical issues involved. If concerns could be reflected on the design of the mechanism of the Pensieve, it would probably be a major initial progress. What do you think?

Hongbo, Thanos,

Alternatively, before you think of what technology you need, you can begin to think about what other goals the visual diary / Pensieve might serve and how users might interact with it. Then you can pinpoint what you really need and what you might want to expand on. What do others think about this idea? Using your inspiration, what can be further refined and expanded on?
