Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine the end-of-life experience?

The idea designed to improving the health of patients in hospitals, through food and nutrition services as an important role in patient recovery and well-being. Food quality can also influence patients' satisfactions with their overall hospital experience. Promoting optional nutrition status through quality hospital food services can lead to a faster recovery and decreased length of hospital stay which can have a large impact on hospital costs.

Tobacco use is a major cause of many of the world’s top killer diseases – including cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive lung disease and lung cancer. In total, tobacco use is responsible for the death of about 1 in 10 adults worldwide. Smoking is often the hidden cause of the disease recorded as responsible for death; despite the patients of these diseases are admitted in hospitals to get treatment they still faced by lack of adequate food although patients needs adequate food to recovery their health and reduce the deaths.

The recent information from Nzega District Hospital (NDH) show that TB patients with other patients of various diseases admitted in this Hospital are faced with a serious problem of lack of adequate food. In general under-nutrition is associated with loss of muscle strength and impaired immune function which can lead to an increase in complication rates, infection rates and mortality.

In our pilot survey and discussion with community members we revealed that the health policy of Tanzania does emphasizing to food services for patient in hospitals, poverty, poor understanding of the community on the importance of food service in hospital, including absence of various stakeholders working in the provision of food services for patients are among the factors leading to existence of the problem of lack of food services for patients in hospitals.

How will the program be conducted

Executive director is the core leadership on the program committee

It will last after one year

Board of directors will create strategy plan for raising the money and the resources come from OpenIDEO platform, individual, private sectors and Foundations.

What's in it for the donors?

This capital program appeals and opportunities for donor and will see how they can help to make a difference in improving the health of patients in hospitals, through food and nutrition services as an important role in patient recovery and well-being.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

I and organization uniquely suited to do this project because I have done the pilot assessment to community members and receive their impressions and feedback on this idea and voice of many people was in advocacy on food and nutrition services for patients in hospitals, providing foods to patients in hospitals. The officer of social welfare said that this idea came at the perfect time because this is my cry for policymakers. This likely to be successful from the needs of the community.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

I want to get inputs from OpenIDEO platform, understand what OpenIDEO value in this idea and how it can refined, I want to know from OpenIDEO community if this idea have the potential impacts in reimagine the end of life for ourselves and our loved one. Here are some questions we needed to answer with our prototypes,
- What are inputs needed to add in this idea?
- How this idea can be refined from OpenIDEO platform?,
- Does idea make sense to reimagine the end of life?

Tell us about your work experience:

Currently I'm executive director of Christian Education and Development Organization, I'm a Board Catalysts of Design Kit- the Course for Human Centered Design, I'm a Board member of District Nutrition Steering committee, I'm Organizer of Local climate innovator of OpenIDEO #COPisHere 21.

When I found Dr. Trust I was in desperate need of bringing my ex lover back. He left me for another woman. It happened so fast and I had no say in the situation at all. He just dumped me after 3 years with no explanation. I contact dr.Trust through his website and he cast a love spell to help us get back together. Shortly after he did his spell, my boyfriend started texting me again and felt horrible for what he just put me through. He said that I was the most important person in his life and he knows that now.we moved in together and he was more open to me than before and he started spending more time with me than before. Ever since Dr. Trust helped me, my partner is very stable, faithful and closer to me than before. I highly recommends Dr. Trust to anyone in need of help.
