Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine the end-of-life experience?

The concept is designed for people who have limited mobility or that are isolated for different reasons. It allows them to live life experiences (traveling/attending events), meet and interact with people (family/friends) through virtual/augemented reality.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

Interview and organise co-design sessions with target people to get their insight on the idea, this can be carried out by visiting local retirement homes.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

We are two design Master students and we would like to collaborate with the OpenIDEO community on how to make the idea feasible in terms of research on virtual/augmented reality and resources

Tell us about your work experience:

We are both currently studying MSc International Innovation (Design) at Lancaster University (UK), we are also doing an intership in UX/UI research and process design. We are currently working, together with another student, to a start up project on digital authentification

Hi Patrizia, I wonder if you have checked out Mortal(IT)y VR https://challenges.openideo.com/challenge/end-of-life/ideas/mortal-it-y-vr

Maybe Jamie Whittaker can help you with the VR components and resources.
