My name is Maria. (Lift flap)

This is my friend Zaria. (Lift flap)

We are here in Beautiful Philly,

With my uncle Billy; (Lift flap)

And he will show us the city.

We are at Waterloo-ah  Place! (Lift flap)

You should see my face, (Lift flap)

At the Water Place.

I am so excited!

As we slip and slide,

At the Zip Splash Castle. (Lift flap)

It is green, yellow and purple.

Then we walk around eating jam.

We turn around, and Delmo says hello. ( Lift flap)

He is here with Spy Bird, and Juicy Monster! (Lift Flap)

We take fun pictures with together.

"It is time to go," they say,

And we say, "thank you very much."

We ride the Show Off, (Lift flap)

Through the stars to Planet Delmo.

"We have to go," Uncle Sam said,

As we waved goodbye to Pennsylvania,

And our friends we promise to invite over. (Lift flap)

The train stops after an hour,

And we find out we're in Delaware.

We walk to the park. (Lift flap)

We all lay on the grass,

With our hands on our cheeks, (Lift flap)

All three of us, very relaxed.

We blush as we hear a puppy back.

Woof, woof, woof.

He is white with a little black. (Lift flap)

"Time for Ice-cream everyone!

I know this will be fun,

So follow me to the booth,

But please do not run."

"Uncle Billy, We want to thank you;

For a nice visit."

"You’re welcomed Kids."

How has this book been informed by early childhood language development research and evidence? (response minimum 250 Characters)

This book is informed by Early Childhood Language Development. I used the right tier of words like I've done before as instructed by this platform and Early Childhood Education Units; which has guided me. The manuscript is an easy, fun, read-along, with a lot of fun imagery to get kids hooked to the book, while learning colours and politeness with their caregivers. The manuscript has been sourced by Ministry of Education, to be used in a revised version as well as some of the others I have written. I think it will be a wonderful kids collectable book.

Please describe any familiarity you may have with Philadelphia and its residents? (optional question)

I have visited beautiful Philly in the past. Delaware is where I really like.

How have you crafted this manuscript to resonate with and/or reflect the experiences of those living in urban contexts? (optional question)

This early childhood manuscript resonates with persons especially children living in urban contexts and the contents of the book will help its readers live and feel the story. I hope it help toddlers and infants learn colours and to be polite by saying things like hello, and Thank you, while also listening to instructions with out wanting to rebel.

I have enjoyed this community and your support. As the final hours are here all the best for writing children's short stories; stories to educate and stimulate their minds.
