Come With Me

A visit to the orchards

t’s hay day and play day and fun day today
It’s farm day and barn day and a sunny day I say
With Chief Tree and mummy and daddy and me
To the orchards we’re going, picking happily and free

The pawpaws, the apples, the cherries and all
We’ll grab them and bag them before they all fall
Down to the ground and then over the hill
Let’s peel some, and eat some , the joy and the thrill

The colors of the fruits are so exciting to see
They’re orange and red with green leaves on the tree
So pretty are the blossoms of the vegetables too
We’ll gather yellow squash for us and blueberries for you

Eating fruits and my veggies , I grow big and strong
I’m going to have muscles before very long
My teeth will be shiny , my smile will be bright
“Look” daddy “I grown so tall, I can even fly my kite”.

The fruits here are sweet, such a wonderful treat
I eat some, I share some, I don’t miss a beat
Oh busy bee and birdie you are my best friend
Please stay , help the trees grow , so that they never end

Chief Tree is my friend, his cousins I know
They teach me about how good food makes me grow
I promise to eat only what is best for me
That way, I will become strong and wise and healthy.
