What problem does your idea solve?

Unemployment is the major challenge Ghana has been facing in the process of its development. The entry of automation and mechanization in every sphere of commerce and administration due to the advent of science and technology has further accentuated the problem. Millions of unemployed youth with disability background who could not access higher/professional education. All these clearly indicate the need for promoting self-employment entrepreneurial ventures among the unemployed disable youth

Explain your idea

The strategic objectives of this initiative are to: first, create access to practical micro-enterprise development services; second, develop access to viable employment generation services; and third, strengthen the financial and operational sustainability of job creation services among people with Disabilities. Through Entrepreneurial skills development among people with Disabilities by: 1. Identify, orient, motivate, train and assist the rural youth to take up self-employment ventures as an alternative career and Reducing poverty rate through provision of financial services linkage to beneficiary. 2. Creation of economically opportunities within its locale and Stimulation of innate abilities in small entrepreneurs to see the bigger picture about their businesses. And also provision of timely and professional micro saving and micro loans to people with Disabilities. Development of the business skills of its clientele base to enable them makes effectively business decisions. 3. To consciously encourage the saving culture amongst the populace via enlightenment strategies and professional guidance. 4. To create value for its shareholders & staff both in the short and in the long term to train unemployed disable youth to take up wage employment as a source of livelihood. 5. To promote counseling and project consultancy services 6. To take up research and development activities in Entrepreneurship and Rural Development etc...

Who benefits?

Beneficiaries (Disabled youth and women) who have undergone the training either in part or in whole and have met all training requirements that will lead to the award of certificate before they are linked to any micro finance institution.

How is your idea unique?

Our Uniqueness largely depend on its sponsors and partner Banks by taken this initiative out of their concern towards providing sustainable employment to unemployed disabled youth and involving them in the economic development of the country. And by carrying forward the mission with conviction and commitment by providing Credit linkage and creation of employment opportunities. We will serve as a temple to everybody who is associated with it, as it will shape the life of people who enters it. We will attribute itself to unique training methodology for effectiveness in training through structured psychological exercises and they will be stimulated to shed inhibitions and develop interest in learning. Besides lecture sessions, behavior simulation games, exercises, field visits, hands on experience, interface with supporting system, group discussions, case study etc. will be effectively use in the training. Most importantly all the training sessions will be conducted vernacular languages

An aspiring young entrepreneur with this initiative I cannot execute this program without the a collaboration or partnership with interested Microfinance Institutions and other International Donor NGOs to be able implement my vision of promoting socioeconomic development; create employment especially to the disabled youth and women through the development of entrepreneurial skills and thereby contributing to poverty reduction in local Communities

Due to the fact that its capital intensive; financing has been my unanswered question.
