What problem does your idea solve?

Health & killings of albinos and digging their graves; The LHRC report of 2015, shows that albinos are continue to be killed and their graves digging. In June 2015, at Ishilimlo / Kona Four village, Tabora Region, Margreth Khamis 6 years old was kidnapped and cut off her hands; Juma Moshi has attacked more than twice and injured with the people who wanted to take his joints. The killings linked to witchcraft beliefs, People believe that the joints of albinos can make person to be a rich.

Explain your idea

The idea goal is dealing with the problem of killings of people with albinism in Tabora region. Our specific goal is to collect data of people with albinism and traditional healers a and creating the strategy plan of protect and care people with albinism. The project will collect the data of people with albinism and traditional healers by provide training to young people on data collection, data analysis and reporting writing; and facilitating set up a strategy plan of protect and care people with albinism against the massacres in Tabora region. The project will reach 403 people cut from 36 to train the data collection of people with albinism and healers will conduct training for developing a strategic plan to protect people with albinism. The idea will reach 403 people by provide training on data collection of people with albinism and traditional which doctors and developing a strategic plan of protect people with albinism. The project will do this due to the absence of actual figures of persons with albinism and traditional healers , that is the main source of the killing the people with albinism we need to have these data to create the strengthen committees of protect people with albinism that will including albinos, traditional which doctors, government officers, CSOs, media, religion leaders in every ward. The idea will be implemented by collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister of Local Government. This campaign will be conducted within one year.

Who benefits?

The beneficiaries of this idea are 403 people from Tabora region. Means young people, albinos, traditional which doctors, government officers, CSOs, media, religion leaders from 36 wards. They will benefit by getting training in data collection, data analysis, report writing well and developing a strategic plan to protect and care people with albinism.

How is your idea unique?

This program to collect data of people with albinism and traditional healers is a unique program and collaborative. The traditional healers diagnosed will help to protect people with albinism, data collected will help other institutions to set up the strategic of protecting and care albinism.

Christian Education and Development Organization has registered under Non-governmental organizations Act, 2002 No ooNGO oooo3928. and operate in Tanzania Mainland. The organization office is located at Nzega, Tanzania. The implementation of the activities is vested in secretariat led by Executive Director who reports to the board of Directors in governance matters. Director first degree, The Coordinator is holds a Bachelor of Science and economics. Accountant is held the Bachelor in Accountancy
