Incorporating paralysed polio victims in all immunisation exercises and provision of upkeep allowances to the victims.
Our intention in engaging these polio victims is to draw more awareness on polio in Northern Nigeria & also assist the victims financially.
What problem does your idea solve?
Explain your idea
Our plan is to engage these challenged polio victims in all ongoing and future immunisation exercises so as to create more awareness on the consequences of not allowing immunisation agents to administer the oral vaccine to their children. The idea is that by seeing and hearing from the victims, parents should be moved to allow access for their children to be immunised for they would not want their children to end up like the paralysed victims. This we believe would boost the immunisation exercise and the victims will also be gainfully employed.
The victims will benefit financially, the immunisation exercise will be more successful & stigmatisation of polio victims will be reduced for people will see in them a true spirit of survival.
How is your idea unique?
Our idea is unique in the sense that you directly engage the victims to convey a very strong message in a way that it has never been done before with regards to polio.
