Hackers work in a dimension where physical restrictions do not apply.
Sketch 1 (1,500 characters)
This is designed as a simple, two part visual. Firstly - it demonstrates the new digital dimension being operated in. Here scale, strength and speed are all relative. Hackers can enter through the smallest opening to gain access. In this case - it's a keyhole (something put there to keep people out). Through smallness we see the huge job at hand. Secondly, many people are entering. Simplistic icons denote their varying intentions or reasons: simple curiosity, theft, damage, espionage, copying, the challenge alone....
The style is intended to be reminiscent of a holding screen - which is 'stuck'. Everyone can empathize with that powerless feeling when staring at these. Or worse still - the blue screen of death!
Sketch 2 (1,500 characters)
Exploring the digital realm is fun. You don't need a stick of TNT to blow the doors off a vault or a getaway car to carry your plunder. You can just copy it! As they were so simple I completed a small set of activities a hacker could do. Though not all hackers have bad intentions this focuses on the negative side of it.
What have you learned through this sketching process? (1,000 characters)
In a digital space hackers can operate with super powers. Here physical limitations are meaningless and it will require a huge change in thinking to tackle it.
