Sketch 1 (1,500 characters)

Sketch 2 (1,500 characters)

Envisioned as an animated video and shown here mainly as a storyboard sequence.

What have you learned through this sketching process? (1,000 characters)

I learned a lot through reading the resources for this challenge about the goals and issues facing the field of cybersecurity. It's a broad landscape that can be intimidating and confusing, and it was interesting to think about the different perspectives that come into play (such as the personas described in the brief).

Tell us more about you. (1,000 characters)

I am an artist and designer in Berkeley, originally from Atlanta. I am interested in how the digital world is shaping our future and how this affects us psychologically. I'm inspired by writing and the media as much as visual art; I am drawn to any kind of work that can hold a sense of heaviness and lightness at once.

Why are you participating in this Challenge? (750 characters)

I learned of this challenge through a friend and collaborator with whom I often discuss these topics.

Hello Chelsea Raflo  Happy to see your contribution to the Cybersecurity challenge. Love the way you've brought the idea to life through this sequence. How would you consider pushing this idea further? We've had a large number of very interesting creations, have you had a chance to browse other submissions? There's a very interesting conversation around cybersecurity going on!

Hi Dima, thank you for your comment! I see this sketch as a storyboard that could come to life as an animated sequence and potentially be expanded by pushing the "there are tools you can use/there are actions you can take" section to include more tools/actions/approaches to protecting your data and feeling personally empowered. I have also been impressed with many of the submissions for this challenge and am enjoying the conversations taking place through the comments/engagement!

Really like the tone and detail. Well done. Reminds me a bit of Maira Kalman's work.
