Tinker Teams is a debate club crossed with a maker class. Kids join a local team. Teammates help and critique each other with tinkering projects, and show their work at Tinker Meets. Kids learn hands-on building skills and team work while having fun.
The Portfolio Pipeline educates, inspires, and empowers young creative thinkers to showcase their creative work over time, harnessing their creative energies to achieve their educational and professional goals.
The idea is to provide a set of inspirational cards (available in web, mobile and print) that have creative prompts to encourage young people to take the first step in creating. Pick a card, follow the prompt and share it online with other creatives.
Children gain creative confidence through positive reinforcement. Using these creative challenge kits together as a family, parents can curate opportunities for creativity and learning, while encouraging discovery and exploration.
Parents routinely say “I can’t draw. etc.” We give adults positive creative experiences. Facilitators inspire with creative projects (art, poetry, welding…) Adults share (anonymously/virtually) with a small community for support/encouragement.
