Hosting a Caine's Arcade Cardboard Challenge

A group of teachers came together and created a STEAM committee and we hosted the FIRST (we hope of many) Cardboard Challenge at our school.

The children/parents of our Junior School were invited to participate in the first Caine's Arcade Cardboard Challenge. They saw the Caine's Arcade video before coming, they explored materials in homeroom, art class and in the colaboratory. We had an inspirational keynote speaker.

They developed the most amazing creations. They were inspired and they worked together. It was a lot of fun for parents, students and staff. I have posted just a taste.

Indeed...many universities/colleges are using this type of exercises to make teams works as a team or break the ice at the beginning of the project. Paper bikes and catapults are the cardboard projects we do in our university to start global/multidisciplinary projects.
I have to say they really do the work of opening the participants eyes and minds!
Thank you for your inspiration
