Analogous Examples

How can analogies help us look at creative confidence from a new angle?

Sometimes looking at parallel examples can help spark fresh thinking for our efforts. Share with us other moments when you’ve had to rise to the occasion, conquer a fear or push yourself beyond your comfort zone in unexpected or new ways.

From responding quickly in an emergency to standing up to a bully at school, how can we use analogies to better understand how to create and nurture moments of creative confidence in young people?

Common problems can create “excuses” for creative collaborations.
The analogy comes from Apple Headquarters where there is only one bathroom on the floor. So queues form which gets people talking which leads to sharing problems and problem solving.

Creativity can't exist if there is no self-confidence. But the good news is that if you lack confidence in one area, you still have a lot left in another. Stepping out of design and into campaigning for the green party gave me back my creativity.

Nearly everything we do in life has some sort of recipe or prescribed way of doing it. Something as obvious as cooking or more abstract like creativity — choose something you love, write the standard "recipe" down, and then change at least 1 thing.

My first day as a freshmen in college was very difficult and uncomfortable to me. If it wasn't for my supportive mom i probably wouldn't be here right now to be honest, I'm extremely shy and don't like meeting new people at all.
