Re-creative challenge!

It is first a Platform which connects people on challenge. The main principe is : you have an idea, a challenge, you put it on the website. Then you challenge other member of the community on different levels.

You can enter at different level and evolve

There are three different ways to get involve on the website :

first you can go on your own and look for a challenge to do on your own. For exemple : make your own dress. (or print in 3D!)You go on the website. You go on textile/clothes/dress/. You will find associations and events around your localisation which can help/ feedback (video/post) of other people. You can find other people to build a team if you want

Then you can come as a group and challenge other groups. You're into cooking or sports! you can challenge an other group : for exemple do a dinner for your group for less than 5 euros/dollars/....The website will allow people to find other group depending on the type of challenge, the geographic localization. Once you find the group, you challenge it. The other group can accept or not. You can challenge on a team in a different country on a human pyramid for exemple (it's really an exemple) or meet an other group in Paris to canoe on the Seine. You can also challenge on matter questions.

You can also evolve in a bigger community as a group or by yourself. You will find all kind of challenges and meetup of different communities like OpenIdeo or Make Sense and other platforms.

In this challenge, we want to create ideas with young people, not for them. Outline how you’re planning to involve young people or other end-users (parents, teachers, etc) in designing, iterating or testing your idea during the Ideas phase.

A great inspiration of mine is make sense. It A guy from my former school created a Platform which allows entrepreneurships and people motivated to connect but not only on the web. It is interesting because Ideo comes from the top of the pyramid : I mean, you first work with firms or big organizations and then go down on the community level with openideo. And now you're trying to connect on the individual level. Make sense comes from the base of the pyramid. When they get in contact with the European Commission, it's not because the EC has a question, it's because Make Sense have recommendations. They started with "gansters" who organized "hold-up". Now they have "sense cube" for entreneurshps, they have "make sensers" going around the world. They organise "sense school" in business school. I find their model interesting. AND THE SENSE SCHOOL is working because first they had a strong community.

How might you envision your idea spreading across geographies or cultures so that it inspires young people around the world to cultivate their creative confidence?

I think the challenging way is interesting, to be able to connect with a person or a group in a different country. I find out the group challenge a good way to motivate people who would not be at first. For those whose creative confidence suffers in a group situation, they can evolve on their own. But in a group, on person is enough to motivate other and try together. You come first on your own for a DIY challenge for exemple. You create your team and motivate people to challenge on other team on a funny, sportive, intellectual.. challenge.

What skills, input or guidance would you like to receive from the OpenIDEO community to help you build out or refine your idea further?

I just find out about the challenge, kind of too late. I would have loved to develop and work with the OpenIDEO community!!
