All countries who are participants in the UN as an international organization and collaborative body of people with shared beliefs and commitments to enable the priorities of the UN covenants.

Most of these countries have committed to show they have met the human rights agenda with at least 4 of the objectives being met.

In this challenge, we want to create ideas with young people, not for them. Outline how you’re planning to involve young people or other end-users (parents, teachers, etc) in designing, iterating or testing your idea during the Ideas phase.

Have students find and rationalize the needs and whether they are met in their communities?
If not, what solutions are being promoted and encourage the youth participation through voting in social media.

How might you envision your idea spreading across geographies or cultures so that it inspires young people around the world to cultivate their creative confidence?

Using social media reaches people all over the world.

What skills, input or guidance would you like to receive from the OpenIDEO community to help you build out or refine your idea further?

Open to any participation and willing to contribute to others as well.

Great start - would love to hear how we could elaborate on this idea. Kids need to think about important topics at a young age.

Could partnerships with organizations like Model UN be effective?

Absolutely, one of the many opportunities and an ideal situation for two groups I can recommend a pilot group.

Model Proposed - Lakota K-12 boarding school
The Lakota an indigenous tribe seeks to attain their sovereignity as a nation within the nation of the US. The "how" seems to never come to life. The issues are supported by UN priorities rights of the child, protecting children from violence and the right to privacy are all priorities for these populations. A K-5 boarding school (includes Pre-K according to unverified source) has the potential to incorporate the Art or resident art component with STEM for STEAM.

Model Proposed - MESA program 5th - 12th grade
A San Jose State program with proven success and the actual inspiration for my concentrated passion around the subject of addressing the local needs using system thinking. The majority of students in this program are immigrants and minority populations.

Global System Citizen
Both proposals are candidates for human rights focus as immigrant and indigenous populations.
