A pencil case that lets children design & doodle. On one side there is a plain canvas which would be easy to draw on. A set of washable fabric pens, stencils & stickers would be bought together with the pencil case. There would be different themes of stickers/stencils so that children could pick whatever style they want. On the other side there would be a white board type material so that children could doodle/write on it throughout the day so they feel they can express their ideas more. It would come with whiteboard pens in different colours.

In this challenge, we want to create ideas with young people, not for them. Outline how you’re planning to involve young people or other end-users (parents, teachers, etc) in designing, iterating or testing your idea during the Ideas phase.

I'm modelling a pencil case to see what sizing & shape would work best for the product. Once I have a model, I will test the product on different age groups. At the moment it is primarily aimed at children, but if the idea is popular with different age groups, then the product can be developed futher to suit them.

This reminds me of my primary school days when we were given individual white boards. As soon as we got them the first thing everyone would do is doodle. What ever was in our minds at the time would be drawn and it was so fun! I think this is a great idea as students can customize their own cases as well as showing everyone else their work.
