Code for hour
An opportunity to inspire anyone to code. December 9-14 a worldwide code-a-thon.
code.org has opened up a challenge working with many major corporations, across different parts of the world.
The challenge intends to inspire more students to engage in computer science.
In this challenge, we want to create ideas with young people, not for them. Outline how you’re planning to involve young people or other end-users (parents, teachers, etc) in designing, iterating or testing your idea during the Ideas phase.
The challenge allows students to create their own code using the code.org tools over a period of 6 days.
How might you envision your idea spreading across geographies or cultures so that it inspires young people around the world to cultivate their creative confidence?
We would need people in different geographies to go to code.org and retrieve the materials created for teachers and those inspiring the students.
What skills, input or guidance would you like to receive from the OpenIDEO community to help you build out or refine your idea further?
The concept can build off the "it takes a village concept" or community impact.
