Tell us about your idea

Children with English as their second language is really hard to learn at home. Especially when their family members do not speak fluent English.

This application uses a chatbot to talk to children like their friends, children can learn the new vocabulary by picture, quiz and conversation. Children just need to tap or use their voice to interact with the chatbot, it enhances the listening and conversation skills at the same time.

What part(s) of the pre-COVID school system do you wish to leave in the past? Why?

A school system that force students to learn by memorising words, at least that’s what I grow up with. Learning should be fun, interactive and practical.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.

I’m a user experience designer, growing up in Hong Kong and working in London. This is inspired by my international parent friends living in London and The New UX School talk.

HI Paul. good question! The customisation part is the main difference. The teacher or parents can also tailor the words in each vocabulary that children are learning in class or at home. Do you have any similar experience or pain point to share? happy to chat about this more. :)
