Training of leader educators of locals educational governments through a specialization in the implementation of the dialogic approach.
Tell us about your idea
Since 2015 thanks to the sponsoring of Natura Peru company a team of people who trust in a different education were born, to which I grateful to be a member. This team started an educational project that promotes the transformation of the traditional relationship between students, teachers, and contents into a dialogic relationship based on the solidarity, and the value of the differences and in the intelligence developed in their own lives and cultures. We have been working for more than 4 years with teachers of public schools of differents Peruvian regions. Together we have started a movement that aims to change the climate of the educational organizations in order to build a better coexistence and better learning indicators. Since 2018 we have been promoting alliances between many locals governments in charge of leadership and management education. In order to build sustainability for those organizations we have decided to start a specialization to train leaders educators with the objective to develop skills that sum to the transformation of the educational system. Thus, in March of 2020 started the first edition of this specialized course in Innovation in Education and Learning Communities. Due to the current pandemic emergency we have redesigned our face- to- face proposal into virtual course. We are working on keep on the essence of dialogic learning to training 23 leader educators from April to September 2020.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.
I am an engineer by profession and an educator at my heart who lives in a city of the central Peruvian Andes and I am interested in improving the educational quality of rural schools in my town. I joined the Learning Communities program as a team member since I have met them because they are people like me, who convinced of the transformation of public education is possible. I am happy to have worked with them since 2017.
