Tell us about your idea

So under this topic the biggest thing is students not being able to afford the best or any school supplies. Every year I have participated in a little fair and school supply drive, where anyone could come and receive supplies for the upcoming school year. If this could take place every year and in areas where student really are struggling and in need. This would resolve many kids problems during the school year and take the burden off many parents who work hard and may need their money for other aspects. Students shouldnt have to worry about whether or not they have the right supplies, they should be more focused on succeeding and doing their best in school.

What part(s) of the pre-COVID school system do you wish to leave in the past? Why?

I would like to leave taking for school in general for granted in the past. I want to see more students applying themselves more and not worried about social life over what matters most and succeeding and doing their best in school.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.

As I already stated I do the school supply drive for Round Rock ISD every year. So that gave me the idea to share and encourage others to do the same this little thing, can make the difference for thousands of kids across Texas or America. Who are in low income households.

What region are you located in?

  • North America

Where are you located?

I live in the suburbs of RoundRock Texas. In no way am I in need. I am lucky enough to have gone to a greeat school and am fortunate enough to be able to afford my own school supplies.

Thanks for sharing, Dylan, and welcome to the platform!

You have some great insights about the value of a quality education and the importance of having access to the necessary resources. I would love to hear more about what you are doing and how your message could be spread. How are your supplies drives carried out, and how do you find recipients in need? How could you motivate others to participate in or pioneer similar drives?
