Tell us about your idea

Alongside the digitalization of processes, the ongoing transformations within the productive sectors and the changes occurring in the organization of the society, despite the shared perception of the relevance of innovation in every policy area, an approach to education basing its design on an advanced, flexible, consistent operating model, able to adjust to the continuous and ever faster transformations in the economic and social system, is yet to be foreseen.

What part(s) of the pre-COVID school system do you wish to leave in the past? Why?

Too much focused on contents creation and distribution, absence of data mining to control organizational processes and to define teaching programs, inability of actual organizations to e real time adapting to contest changes

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.

Hi Paolo Vercesi
I'm Sarah, one of the Community Coaches. Thanks for your contribution to this challenge and for inspiring us with your concept!

Your idea is quite interesting...I'm reminded of how a company or corporate organisation works with a system in place to monitor the employee's performance and strategising monthly KRA's and organisation goals accordingly. I'm keen to learn more about your idea...Are you proposing a digital/online central platform? May be you could also look at existing HR applications/platforms (eg. Zoho) designed for companies that help monitor employee performance, status of projects, etc and give feedback for improvement based on the data entered.

Good luck!

Paolo. This is beautiful language -- "Schools should be pathfinders, not only contents creators." Beyond the use of data, I am wondering what other suggestions you have for schools. Please share.

That’s right Paul, thanks for your interest. I underlined the use of data and a more strategic approach especially for the non-anglosaxon school system. In Europe Union welfare is a great support, but doesn’t push to innovate as in competitive markets. The main challange in my project is to use front hedge digital tools to help tutors to discover how tu unpackage a profile goal, define which bricks lack to reach it and acquire from MOOCs or other educational resources, all (or most of) contents are usefull to bridge gaps. Teachers will have time to design the path, navigate trainees along the way, fill eventual remaining needs. A data driven system will help to easily add side services and mantain live the educational community.

Thanks Sarah. Data usage as well as digital platforms should be introduced in laggard educational systems, like most of south Europe Countries are, but I guess this is a problem of governance mindset first, that cause investments lackage and public labour organization stiffness. My concerns and idea of solution refers to the chance to change the role of teachers from contents creators and supplier to a more developed chain connecting easily available educational sources, through digital tools and manage, rearrange, complete them. Delivering a flexible and focused support to trainees, compare their actual profile versus their educational profile goal.
