FutureUp Lab is a mindset & self-development platform for teachers providing micro-courses & coaching to help them thrive in difficult times
Tell us about your idea
FutureUp Lab empowers teachers with personal development tools and coaching, to help students thrive during difficult times.
Being a teacher is already stressful. Their mental well-being is at stake. The Covid-19 situation is adding even more pressure and stress, teachers' time for mindset and self-development is very limited and the current offering is scattered across many platforms and usually takes long hours or weeks to complete.
Solution: We want to develop a platform that helps teachers take control of their mindset and self-development
Focusing on hands-on micro-courses, cheat-sheets and email coaching facilitation, we want to empower teachers to act instantly over their well-being and help their students too. This addresses the growing mental-wellbeing challenge among teachers in a unique way.
What is unique about FutureUp Lab is the approach to learning and content, to maximize instant application and experimentation. We basically want to help teachers learn by doing.
By focusing on micro-courses, we ensure we capture the maximum attention span, and motivate completion (around 90% of e-learning is never finished or done superficially).
Through hands-on cheat-sheets, we ensure we give teachers just the right amount of info.
And with the email-based Coaching, we give teachers a structured process to implement learning and experiment, while giving them the space and freedom to run it on their own terms and customize as they find fit.

I currently work at LEGO, with open innovation, scouting for innovative ideas that have potential to scale to future services, experiences or business models that can complement the LEGO brick.
I come across many entrepreneurs in my daily job, and I realized that I give them start-up advice, without having been there myself. So I decided to take my own medicine and try to start a company.
FutureUp Lab was born out of that, and out of my passion for self-development and coaching.
Currently trying to find ways to run the idea as a pilot in schools who would like to try it.
