Tell us about your idea

Students are experiencing trouble understanding the concepts because the videos are unthorough. Teachers should take an online class on how students learn so that they will be able to better teach students in this unusual time. This will help students as well as teachers.

What part(s) of the pre-COVID school system do you wish to leave in the past? Why?

I feel like the schools should be using more technology to make school more full circle. This reduces school hours and homework, making schedules of student athletes more manageable for themselves. Student athletes often have schedules that are very tight and most times causes students to not put their most effort into school. This will helps students perform in school and will provide them a healthier lifestyle.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.

I am Dixon, a student from GBN High School. I was inspired to share this idea because I have seem teachers being unthorough in videos for explaining concepts. Students are experiencing trouble understanding the concepts because the videos are unthorough. For the well being of the students, teachers should take an online class on how students learn, so that they will understand how they can better teach students in this unusual time.

What region are you located in?

  • North America

Where are you located?

I reside in the suburbs of Chicago. My town is great but I believe that the problem we are facing will only be more extreme in the city where teachers and students are even less prepared.

Thanks for chiming in Dixon!
I would love to hear more about your idea. In what ways are the videos unthorough, and how could they be improved? What do your teachers lack in terms of preparation?

David
