Since 2015, thanks to the sponsoring of Natura Peru company a team of people who trust in a different education were born, which I am grateful to be a member. The team started an educational project that promotes the transformation of the traditional relationship between students, teachers, and contents into a dialogic relationship based on the solidarity, and the value of the differences and in the intelligence developed in their own lives and cultures.
We have been working with teachers of differents regions of peru in the implementation of dialogic methodology in their classrooms such as literary, artistic and cinematographic gatherings, based on respect and listening as elements of a good coexistence.
This year we had to stay far of the teachers classroom but we started to use virtual tools like zoom and google meet to promove this kind of interactions.
In a next stage we want to create a radio space to support rural and dispersed areas, in alliance with local radio stations.
From these spaces we validate and build resources that are useful to teachers, they can replicate it adapting it to their realities and generate a sense of freedom, equal dialogue and depth to the learning of their students. If you don't live it how could you change it, we can build knowledge together in this way.
What part(s) of the pre-COVID school system do you wish to leave in the past? Why?
The traditional relationship of power and verticality that has been characteristic of the pedagogical nucleus and that has been evidenced in the training of teachers from spaces in which they are given the content and the ways in which they must teach from current educational policies ; but they are rarely proposed as meeting spaces for human beings linked to education, who have their own emotions and experiences that, although they pose unique challenges, also present answers to these challenges from their experience. These spaces encourage the development of spaces that promote socio-emotional and communicative competences from horizontal and egalitarian relationships as the basis of the knowledge construction processTell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.
I am part of a team that has been seeking to change the relationship that exists in the educational system and make it closer and more empathetic, with the active involvement of everyone, now from virtual environments.I enjoy reading and I am passionate about technology to educate with meaning so this motivates me a lot.
