I am a.....

  • Product designer. I make and sell tangible products.

Tell us about your idea

I smile, you smile back.
Like a smile, creativity is universal.
Thy lips are the expression of thy smile.
And you understand a smile right,
almost everywhere and anywhere in the world.

This project is aiming at creating a few expression "words" around creativity which would globally create a similar mental image for children. Most of us, whichever ethnicity we belong, have done similar science projects and exercises around creativity. Even then, each of us will have different mental images of the same experiments.

2020 COVID, everyone is home-schooling.

Imagine an exchange program, online?

Now imagine,
Age 7 stumbles on a word, say "magnet" on our project platform.
Age 7 plays a game around "magnets" and
as a reward realizes how the world of 7-year-olds look at magnet,
sees a representation of how most of the children were introduced to magnets.

Yay!
Age 7 got a global conversation starter point in just a matter of a few minutes on an online platform.
We create a common universal glossary around creativity and also, did you notice, we just created a "smile" for creativity.

What part(s) of the pre-COVID school system do you wish to leave in the past? Why?

The word for the past is "Bullying".

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to share this idea.

I am an industrial designer who found her purpose in making tangible(click and mortar) products. I currently work with children and we make creative children's games based on design thinking. I have an electronics engineering background. In the past, I have spent a few years working as a user experience and interface designer. Whenever in doubt, rapid prototyping is almost always my go-to option.

A few weeks back, I was a part of the incredible hackathon organized by @k12lab and @stanforddschool. We were brainstorming to bring usable solutions in-around the world of K12. The goal was to generate usable prototypes that folks can start using immediately. This is where the idea was born.

What region are you located in?

  • Southern Asia

Where are you located?

Ahmedabad, India. It's shiny hot at this moment.

This is a very clever idea. I like the creative rapid prototyping concept. Have a look at my contribution since my techniques can start the ball rolling.
