The economy is "re-opening". But childcare isn't.

As COVID-19 restrictions lift, many parents will be asked to come back into their place of work. However in many places, daycares and summer camps have closed or reduced capacity because of social distancing. Childcare was already expensive but now it is almost impossible for many families.

Caresplit enables parents from closed communities, like workplaces, to trade off hosting each other's children so that they can work or care for other family members.

Our web platform can be used to coordinate the rotation of employee schedules as the economy slowly re-opens. It can also be used between small groups of neighbors in "bubbles" so that the other parent can return to work to provide for their family.

Shortage of childcare for workers as restrictions begin to lift

What is the best example of business adaption you’ve seen in response to COVID-19?

One of the hardest hit industries is gym and fitness providers who have all been forced to close because of Coronavirus. A UK boutique gym franchise called 1Rebel has started offering its space as micro-hospitals to support the overflow of virus patients at NHS hospitals. They addressed a need for more hospital space and support for healthcare workers, with room for 300-400 hospital beds. It's inspiring because of the contract of their approach to other gyms and studios. They are all struggling financially, but instead of just offering their classes online like the many others are, they are getting their hands dirty in the fight against Coronavirus. https://metro.co.uk/2020/03/20/london-gym-offers-hand-keys-nhs-provide-space-400-extra-beds-12430032/ https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/health/1rebel-nhs-offer-beds-a4392976.html
