Providing tech-solutions and online experience to start a hands-on virtual arts classroom for educators and students.
What is the need are you focusing on?
Access Gap: Our goals are to supply art students and instructors with a cost-effective and streamlined way to increase art education for ages 5 to 8 years old. Acquiring the tools, software, and tech solutions required for art educators is a significant hurdle for online hands-on instructions. In the same light, parents may lack access to similar art supplies for their children when attending a live virtual art instruction. These barriers will lead to neglecting the arts in the future of online learning. When students don’t have the same tools as the instructor or other students, this dampens his/her creativity and learning potential. Furthermore, due to the barriers of expensive video equipment for online teaching, our idea provides a solution that minimizes costs for interactive live art instruction.
What is the best example of business adaption you’ve seen in response to COVID-19?
We are inspired by the Khan Academy. During this time, they have promoted free resources for online learning for both parents and educators. “Keep everyone learning” is their mantra that is inspiring. Khan Academy is providing free video content to meet the increased needs of online education during this unprecedented time.
Because the arts is a physical medium, it requires interaction from the instructor and peers. Our inspiration will marry Khan Academy’s vision of free content with our live, hands-on, and interactive approach. Think of the creative potential for self-expression that hands-on instruction provides using an online learning platform. This can only be accomplished with the right access to a creative space.
