no one is  now caring about the animals because of covid-19 fearing that they may get a virus from the animals. so there is too much  misinformation in the villages. so iam out there attending to the animals and educating the owners about covid-19. our officer spraying a dog against ecto-parasites and annie  myself comforting a sick cat

What is the need are you focusing on?

During the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic hunger and animal diseases have become imminent for poor remote rural people. While the world faces a huge health challenges, earning a living has become a challenge for low income earners across Zambia and Africa as a whole during challenges times, animals often need us more than usual. This remains true as the world battles COVID-19. Iam rescuing animals in need and providing veterinary services and supplies to families who are struggling. Iam creating a better future for animals here in chibombo district of Zambia. I repurposed my business to support low income rural livestock farmers especially the women who are in majority and are in dire need of help and support to feed their families. I have distributed 1,500 homemade masks, 135 hand washing cans and 725 tablets of herbal soap and iam providing them with health tips on the ministry of health recommended precautions on how to stay safe during the pandemic season.

What is the best example of business adaption you’ve seen in response to COVID-19?

in my remote rural community many tailors have now started making local face masks using the local materials and selling them at an affordable price. the youths are also making washing cans from local materials and also selling at affordable price and these are in high demand. they teamed up and immediately started sewing the face masks instead of buying from towns which are very expensive and sometimes not seen. this is inspiring because people in remote rural villages can now wear face masks and wash their hands with soap which is being distributed freely donated by a well wisher
