Staying in contact with people you care about is a critical part of maintaining our mental health to make through this difficult time. While people are stuck at home, Zoom and other chat/video call apps start to become the place where we work, go to school, and party these days. People are using Zoom for concerts, art shows, games, etc. More importantly, we see strangers collaborate and communicate with each other using all creative ways, but there hasn’t been a place for all to easily chat or celebrate events together. We would like to improve this experience and make it easy, usable, and therefore, bring each other closer.

We tried it out with a lot of people we know, and people start to look forward to the next birthdays in line and more and more individuals are joining. We sing birthday songs together to celebrate whoever is on their birthdays, we changed our individual background image according to the b-day person’s preference, weather is dog/idols/food/places. The possibility is endless. There’s also no limitation of room size/cake size/close or far relationships, the experience is pure joy.

Actually we don’t expect that social distancing will last long. Imagine, weddings and birthday only attended by under 10 people. This doen’t make sense, but reality like this in 2020, a year that is predicted to experiences rapid progress in all fields. But what happens is we only learn how to shake long distances and various ways of living long distances. But alas, we must learn to adapt to new ways of life. And celebrating birthdays is one of them, salute !!!
