How to be calm in the face of uncertainty, and how to behave according to your COVID-19 status, i.e. not infected, showing early symptoms, in isolation, as a caretaker, etc. This information is especially important for older generations, who are reportedly more likely to be affected by the virus.
What populations or personas are not currently being addressed with today’s COVID-19 information?
The 'baby boomer' generation (ie, 55+ years old). This demographic has smartphones yet possess low digital literacy - especially in developing countries.
Most of the information about COVID-19 is available on websites, through dedicated apps, and on social media, but this does not cater for older people who prefer messaging apps. WhatsApp is free and easily accessible, and is therefore widely used.
