Populations in emerging markets where misinformation is rampant are especially vulnerable, and technical information put out by health authorities like the WHO or even a national health ministry or government body is often too technical in nature. Most individuals in these markets have very specific questions or myths and misconceptions they hold to be true. Answering specific questions with targeted information can help to open channels of communication that allows international and national health authorities to reach those most in need of information, preventive services, and curative care.
