Mostly from the World Health Organization website and the videos they have made available. This is perhaps the most reliable source of information available.

I've been watching their videos on their youtube channel regularly.

Upload or share a link to this resource/message/source of information to share it with others.

Short simple videos are much more effective at keeping people's attentions than long texts.

Did this resource motivate you to change your behaviors?

  • Yes

In what ways did you change your behaviors as a result of this resource?

I wash my hands regularly.

I work using my PC all day, and it is Summer time right now, making the situation a bit more sticky. What I've done is use a simple reminder app which alerts me every 2 hours to wash my hands when I'm working.

The app alerts me, and I pause my work, go wash my hands and continue. I also use disinfecting wipes on my keyboard and mouse once a day as an added precautionary measure.

Did you share this information with your network?

  • Yes

In what ways did you share this information?

By sharing the link using SMS or other messaging services.

Where are you getting information around COVID-19?

  • Local Government
  • National Government
  • News: Television
  • News: Digital
  • News: Print
  • Social Media
  • WHO (World Health Organization)
  • Word of Mouth
  • SMS Alerts
  • Pre-recorded voice message broadcasts while making phone calls

What information do you feel you are missing about COVID-19?

How this is affecting the people who must travel to different places, be it within a country or abroad.

What populations or personas are not currently being addressed with today’s COVID-19 information?

Boomers, Elderlies, and People in rural communities are more susceptible to fall for the misinformation.

Word of mouth is the best way to deal with these two groups, at least in India. But care must be taken to not turn this into a game of Chinese whispers.

I think the pre-recorded voice message broadcasts while making phone calls (no matter how repetitive they can become) also help people get correct information.
