Reaching out to children and adults for adapting cleanliness and preventive measures to stay healthy and calm during COVID-19 pandemic.
For Nur Center for Research and Policy (NCRP), the primary source of information on COVID-19 has been the official website of World Health Organization (WHO). The content available on the WHO website is the most authentic and factual. Therefore, most of the awareness material developed by NCRP on COVID- 19 prevention and staying healthy is based on WHO guidelines. In addition to that, the best message we have seen about COVID-19 for children is CoviBook by Manuela Molina at www.mindheart.co. CoviBook maintains an excellent balance between both creating awareness and reassuring the children. Considering the age bracket of our target audience, the book is a child friendly visual treat that explains CoronaVirus well. The illustrations are engaging and informative at the same time.

In what ways did you change your behaviors as a result of this resource?
The resource inspired Nur Center for Research and Policy (NCRP) to spread awareness among children in a friendly and creative manner. Most of our awareness material focused on mature audience, however we realized that the global outbreak of Corona has led us to adapt to certain changes in daily life. With most schools, public gatherings and recreational centers closed, children are also being affected like never before. While it is important to create awareness about the virus, it is also important to reassure the children. Most of the resource material is developed in national language Urdu for greater impact and reach.
