In March 11/2020, WHO declared that Coronavirus (COVID-19) is categorized as a pandemic outbreak originated from China. Starting from that point many countries or cities have closed their boundaries, restricting movement from country to country or city to city. This is because the best way to control a pandemic outbreak is isolation and solving the problem in a confined way. After you isolate cities, the next critical question is how do you trace potential cases? How can people know they are potential cases before having symptom for the COVID-19? For example, person who has been infected with COVID-19 without his/ her knowledge may travel from location A to B using a specific bus/ buses in a specific time and day in a specific city. The peoples who also travelled using that specific bus/ buses in specific time and day are potential cases but there is no way anyone could know that because that bus travels multiple times even if the buses have unique numbers. And the bigger question is that how do you give priority for testing peoples who wish to be tested if many number people apply having limited testing capacity?
This project is proposing a digital public map that can display the movement of confirmed COVID-19 patient before the diagnosis of x hours or days so that peoples take precaution when going to that area and trace potential cases like peoples who have traveled with that person in buses where the patient may transmitted to people he/she does not know. Meaning, when there is a confirmed case for the COVID-19, that person is kept isolated in a medical treatment center and that person will be given a form depending on mental status to fill her/ his movement in a very specific data like where she/ he went, at what time, means of transportation and even transportation specifics like bus number and such. This data is fed to the digital public map for the public to see and report peoples who traveled using that transportation means within that specific time especially if there is a specification on where the patent has sited on that bus. Then the public see this and anyone who meets these criteria via the digital map will report and if there is confirmed case among the reported peoples, they also will fill the same form and update the digital map. The summation of these data will fill information gaps and work the whole city as a unit leading better precaution and better detection for suspected cases for the COVID-19. The system will have not have an incorrect data because it will be filled by authorized personal strictly based on the data from the patents.
