Breaking down barriers to mental health wellness: discussion and activities brought to the home
The minimal information available is listing only the crisis hotline numbers for domestic violence and suicide prevention.
In what ways did you change your behaviors as a result of this resource?
It is unclear if this resource is effective as it is passive availability of information without following its association with an action or impact on suicide prevention. If there was active outreach education, there could be a survey of how effective the information was.
In what ways did you share this information?
The community space has been redefined with social isolation. In the new reality of virtual meetings, this new communal space has made accessible education and healthcare. The depersonalization of equal access to mental health wellness discussion and activities removes the stigma of mental health. The crowdsourcing of mental health resources may better address disparities resulting from financial and institutional barriers existing before COVID-19.
