Using empathy to gain perspective

Thinking about this experience as an empathy exercise for the elderly, disabled, and displaced.

I don't think this counts as a resource of information but thinking about experience as an empathy exercise for the elderly/disabled (who by ailing physical, mental, or life conditions are not able to freely exist and socialize as they once did) and for refugees (who led perfectly normal lives until an external situation caused their entire existence to be put on pause with no determinable end) reminds me that the situation for most of us is fully tolerable and we are still incredibly lucky to be where we are.

Not only are both of these groups most at risk with Covid19, the annoyances we face, with social isolation and having our lives disrupted, are what they face on the best of days. This perspective made it easier for me to stay calm and remember that we are still empowered to design a healthy and fulfilling life within these new boundaries.
