Dr Hannah Fry's tweet on @FryRsquared included a fantastic visualisation from her BBC Four show 'Contagion: The BBC Four Pandemic' which was broadcast in March 2018. The animated visualisation illustrates the effect that hand-washing has on delaying the spread of a virus.

In what ways did you change your behaviors as a result of this resource?

It helped me understand that simply by increasing the frequency of hand-washing, I could help prevent the spread of the virus if I came into contact with it. 

When faced with something as overwhelming as a pandemic, it's easy to feel helpless, so the idea that you can take a small practical action to help others is really powerful. 

I thought it was a wonderful way of reducing a macro crisis right down to a micro action.
