Contact tracing itself is the process of tracing possible coronavirus infections and carry out targeted testing of high-risk people who have been in contact with infected persons. In absence of the capacity to carry out massive reliable testing, this process has proved efficient in identifying and testing with the aim of carrying out proactive confinement of positive cases and medical treatment to those with symptoms.
Contact tracing aims to break the chain of infection by identifying the individuals. In the same way, as contact tracing, out aim is to bring an element of transparency in the food chain by enabling tracking.
Now, our aim is to use existing technologies which enabled elements of transparency in the supply chain in light of the health issues related to the conditions under which food (fruits and vegetables) are stored as well as pesticides residues together with increasing wastage of food
We already have some experience with blockchain and IOT to enable this traceability
However, we think that with the urgent and changing need requirements because of Covid-19, it will not be possible to implement a blockchain based IOT or an IOT project using a device like particle.
Our objective will be to implement traceability using QR-code, mobile phone as an IOT device with google map
Products travel frequently through huge network of stakeholders before reaching the end consumer which includes retailers, distributors, transporters, storage facilities, and suppliers that participate in design, production, delivery, and sales etc., still in almost all the cases these journeys remain an unobserved attribute of our possession.
the consumers as well the government's demands for more transparency from brands, manufacturers, and producers throughout the supply chain is increasing. Governments tend to provide more transparency in goods and their manufacturing details.
The supply chain monitoring and tracking systems are becoming the key means for providing the detailed description of a good and its life cycle to the producers as well as to the consumers who may select the end product based on the food chain details.
Such tracking system enable consumers to track product’s life cycle from the first producer via processing through different stakeholders involved to the very end shelf, where the end consumer finally purchased the product. Many companies are using supply chain to trace back to the source of products, increasing transparency into day-to-day supplier operations and reduce the irreverent journey of products to their end users.
