We are developing SHOPPER a mobile phone app digital market platform to connect local farmers, food vendors and essential commodities dealers in Nigeria to millions of potential buyers online on chat groups to sell their goods on the go using Product Notifications and SMS Alert.

The Traders, local farmers as well as food vendors are to post sample pictures and prices of their products especially agricultural produce and food items on chat groups instantaneously to attract potentials buyers before harvesting or dispatching.

The potential buyers will indicate interest, contact the trader or the farmer or the food vendor through the registered mobile phone number and they will go together to the farm for harvesting or negotiate a meeting point for pick up and payment processes after agreement have been made.

SHOPPER will give local farmers/food vendors as well as essential commodity dealers in Nigeria the chance to capture the global market for their goods right from the comfort of their farms/homes. It will enable them to get the current market price. Help them to know when a price of goods rises and/or fall. When demand for a particular goods is high thus giving them chance to take proper action at the right time.

In addition to quick sales and profit maximization, SHOPPER will provides the local farmers, food vendors , essential commodity dealers as well as 150 million potential buyers who are Nigerians with accurate information on COVID 19 updates and available control mechanisms. SHOPPER will also provide them with contacts of the nearest Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) personnel to report suspected cases for prompt action when necessary.

And we also made available smart delivery vans for quick and preservative delivery services on the purchased goods, quick cash transfer and withdrawal services within Nigeria while they stay at home.

What is the need are you focusing on?

As the COVID 19 pandemic continues, lots of countries around the world including Nigeria have imposed Stay at Home Order and Social Distancing to all their citizens to curb the spread of COVID 19. This does not mean well for businesses mostly food vendors, local farmers as well as those dealing on essential commodities as some of their commodities are expiring, damaging and/or loss. These give room to severe food wastage and loss of essential commodities stocked in their shops, stores, stalls as well as warehouses and farms.

The world economic will experience severe losses and breakdown as the result of food wastage and commodity losses in the market at the end of this pandemic.

Development, testing and deployment to “google play store” etc. for users will be duly completed within 2weeks to 1month interval.

Partners:I request for good business partners who will assist in connecting my business to more opportunities and market to sale our business

What do you think are the main barriers to implementing this solution?

Financial-Barrier:Shopper as a world class mobile app and web-base e-commerce platform with different plug-ins and SEO-facilities that are being develop to work on different mobile phone platforms/OS and PCs requires proper funding. Legal-Barrier:To launch Shopper into international market requires legal processes. A lawyer will run all the legal proceedings. A Non-Disclosure-Agreement, Intellectual-Property Ownership and Protection need to be sign on time to protect the app from copycat. Market-Barrier:Before shopper get to the hands of the intended users we must meet the stipulated market requirement.

Creating an e-commerce app requires technology and facilities to make it fit with all screen sizes and devices.
