I started Mobile360 (, a platform that allows small businesses to create customized mobile apps in 30 minutes, affordably. My goal was to empower small businesses and level the playing field against large companies with endless budget.

While the initial feature set we built out was targeted for restaurants / eateries, I think we can leverage the platform and build features to help essential workers and locations, especially local grocery stores. Utilizing the existing Mobile360 infrastructure, we can build a new feature for these business apps that can streamline a contactless / curbside ordering system.

Local grocers can create an app via Mobile360 with the curbside ordering system in less than 30 minutes. Customers can download the app, and will be able to order their items from local grocers and pay directly through the business’s app. Upon arrival, they simply pop the trunk, scan a QR code to confirm grocery pick up / payment, and off they go.

This allows completely contactless shopping, keeping frontline essential workers, and customers safe. Because we are adding this feature to our existing Mobile360 platform, we can probably finish this feature in a weeks time.

What is the need are you focusing on?

We are focusing on helping keeping local essential business's revenue high, while protecting the workers and customers from COVID-19 exposure.

Beyond COVID-19, these businesses can continue to use their mobile app and ordering system as a strong customer relationship tool.

Which type of submission are you sharing?

  • Sharing a pivot idea your organization is considering or could consider

Describe the business pivot or adaptation in 3-4 sentences.

As mentioned, we have a platform that lets small businesses (specifically restaurants) the ability to build a personalized mobile app in 30 minutes or less. Using the same platform, we can build additional features that will stream a curbside ordering system for these businesses. This will open opportunities for local grocers to primarily take orders through the mobile app, keeping the business running will keeping safe from COVID-19 exposure. The impact could be huge. If we can get a bunch of local grocers on board, we can keep economy running, businesses open, and people safe. Beyond COVID-19, all of these businesses will have a mobile app to use as a strong customer engagement tool.

Do you plan to implement this solution?

  • Yes

Describe the impact that this solution will create in the world.

All front line essential works at grocery stores / eateries can benefit from this. Regardless of the business's existing tech setup, we can get them setup in 30 minutes. This could potentially affect millions of people positively. The timeline for this impact can be as little as one week! Mobile360 already provides the base that allows businesses to create their mobile app, we just need to implement the ordering feature. My team is committed to working as long as it takes over the next week to get this done.

Welcome to the challenge Jagtej Sodhi . Great to see what Mobile360 is doing to help small businesses. Curious to know the progress of the feature implementation. When are you looking to test it out?

There could be some learnings from biermi (pronounced "beer me")   by Brian O'Connor on how they went about supporting small businesses as well

Hey Isaac Jumba , thanks for following up! We've made pretty good progress on the implementation. We've worked with several local businesses that have shown interest to come up with a feature spec that would be most beneficial to them. I'm currently in the development phase and plan to have it done by the end of this week!

Appreciate the intro to Brian, I'll reach out to him as well.
