According to, the clothing and textile industry is the second largest polluter in the world after oil production. It is no surprise that the majority of materials used in fashion end up being wasted and thrown into landfills. What if these major companies responsible for a lot of this waste, used their leftover scraps to create face masks for those in need? It would be so cool to see companies donate materials that would otherwise be thrown out into a landfill, to those creating masks during this urgent time. On the other hand, it would also be cool to see them recycle their materials themselves and make their own masks with the resources they already have.

This would help with the shortage of face masks, while helping the environment at the same time.
