Clickable is a Food + Entertainment + Health app. It is dedicated to providing healthy food ideas through mouth-watering videos. You tap on the burger you see in the video and can directly order it then and there. You do so using smart AI implemented in the app UI. Also, have a mini dance party with us while you wait for your food!

By selling products through videos, the platform gives local shops and restaurants to restart businesses, by rebuilding trust. It's a means to survive this crisis through a simple, engaging innovative intervention and it gives customers a new way to support these businesses while enjoying their time doing it.

Clickable is focusing on a new wave of interactive entertainment rather than traditional E-Commerce methods which helps users quickly deploy better-eating habits during the lockdown that are converted into healthier lifestyle routines in the future.

Through Clickable, we are trying to achieve a few things :
1. Connecting small businesses, restaurants, bakeries, and home or family-run businesses back to there customers. Using technology to rebuild trust, as the videos could translate where and how the food was made. Customers, who miss their regular local favorite eatery get a chance to have a moment of joy.

2. The app alternatively suggests users to Prepare the meal themselves, which in turn lets them tap into the network of local grocery stores.

3. Through both options, Clickable suggests its users' healthy options as alternatives. For example, If a certain ingredient is available within walking distance, the app highlights that option as a healthier choice versus waiting for the ingredient to be delivered the next day, (This is also keeping in mind that some countries (like Milan) are in Phase 2 or opening up lockdown, where localized activities and movements have been permitted). [Being cooped up at home has instilled panic amongst people. Have means to talk short trips outside home locally could break that stigma and prepare people for the future of moving around with needed precaution as everyone learns to resume lives with the virus still around.]

What is the need are you focusing on?

There are 4 main gaps we hope to fulfill. They are:

1. Rebuilding Trust for small businesses, restaurants, bakeries, and home or family-run businesses.

2. Create opportunities for local businesses to start generating income.

3. Provide employment for daily wage workers. 4. Help people, get through this crisis with a touch of entertainment, and encourage healthy eating habits.

We aim to use smart AI as a means to create a new wave of interactive video entertainment rather than traditional E-Commerce methods. We also see this implementation of new technology from a lens of social impact. It becomes a way of building trust amongst consumers, helping these businesses reach out to their customers. Covid-19 crisis has hit hard on local businesses. With inadequate means to reach to their customers, their losses are piling up. People, through the video, can see exactly what they will consume, and from where it's coming, how was it made, how was it packaged.

Do you plan to implement this solution?

  • I plan to share with an implementing organization

Describe the impact that this solution will create in the world.

Clickable is hoping to uplift local businesses. In the short term, we aim to delivery food and ingredients with a touch of entertainment, In the long term, 1. for the local businesses, with this network created during the crisis, use it later to support and manage losses by hosting Innovation (Keeping in mind social distancing) post-COVID lockdown events. 2. for the users, convert this routine in healthy habits of the future.

Thank you for sharing your idea Shruti Saha . Really exciting to see the mockups you have created. Could you share more on what location you are looking to start with? What minimal experiments could your team carry out to quickly test the idea?

Thank you so much Issac!
So the research on which we based our idea was from Italy. So the plan is to start with Milan. We could experiment with a small focus group with a beta version of the app(keep the delivery part as a mock-up and testing the AI and the usability, because we were trying some new). It would be to gauge the engagement level and maybe we'll have to streamline some features after that.

And another idea is to get smaller groceries shops and small resturants we know from a certain area. And test out the loop of find to order to delivery.

Well,This is the testing plan.
I hope I answered your question.

This is a fun idea! Delivering food and ingredients with a touch of entertainment seems like something that could be implemented into many food/delivery apps (whether COVID-19 sticks around or not).

Thank you Dalton! It's a seed idea for now and also a work in progress.
